About The summit
Investment Summit Finale: Nov 17, 2022
Startup TNT is dedicated to improving access to capital for early-stage tech companies. We do this by increasing the pool of professional early-stage investors, educating entrepreneurs on fundraising best practices, and facilitating lasting relationships between both parties.
Startup TNT Investment Summits help raise capital for startups, and makes it easier for local investors, both seasoned and new, to angel invest.
Summit streams are in Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba
$200k+ invested into each Winner ($150k+ from the individual angels and $50k from the VC fund, syndicated together as one cheque) + $25K-$250K Side deals into additional companies.
Many angels decide to invest more than their original $5k cheque, and therefore the winner will very likely have $250k - $500k+ invested in total. Additional side deals negotiated at the Summit with non-winners have ranged from $25k - $300k.
All deals are syndicated by Startup TNT (through an LP) and result in a single line on your cap table and easy investor relations (we herd your cats).

Seed-stage companies
Typical round size: $500k - $2.5M
Winning deals will need to allocate up to $500k to Startup TNT
Side Deals range in size from $25k-$300k historically

Companies must have their headquarters in Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba. Please apply to the stream that most closely matches the location of your HQ. The goal is to help local startups raise capital from the local investor community.

Willingness to engage with investors for an 8-week due diligence process that could include 6+ (virtual) investor meetings
Should you be selected, the ability to join us in-person on Oct 6 for Top 20 Pitch Night and in-person on Nov 17 for the Summit Finale in the stream you applied to (SK: Regina for Top 20 and Saskatoon for Finale; MB: Winnipeg)
